Greenie Roberts 1920-2021

Greenie Roberts has sadly passed away aged 101

In 1960 at the age of 40 Greenie started playing golf the Earlham Golf Club (now part the UEA) and when it closed in 1966 she moved to Royal Norwich Golf Club.

From 1971-1972 she was County Captain and for the first time since 1961 Greenie took the Norfolk Ladies’ County Team to the County Champions final at Kedleston Park Golf Club in Derbyshire where they finished as runners-up to Kent.

Greenie became County President from 1997-1999 donating the Greenie Roberts handicap salver to the County Medal.

In 2000 she moved to France to be near her daughter.

Sadly, on Monday 8th February Greenie passed away, aged 101 years.
