What a day!!! sunshine and showers

Nofolk Ladies faced Cambs & Hunts in a rematch of our deciding last day match of last year and we faced stiff opposition.

The morning foursomes were exciting with us eventually winning all our matches to go into lunch with a 3-0 lead.  Wins for Tiffany Mills & Imogen Leeder and Karen Young & Amy Taylor were completed when Amelia Williamson and Chloe Rowswell fought back from 4 down with 5 to play to win the last 5 holes and win their match 1 up.  We never know when we are beaten!!  A bit of the Norwich City spirit?!?

The afternoon singles got underway and it wasn't long before it became apparent that it wasn’t going to be an easy ride.  Abigail found herself facing an in form Miranda Brain and lost her match 5&4. However Jo Herd dominated her match winning 3&2.  Amy Taylor having been 3 down fought her way back to take her match 2&1.  Chloe Gibbs put up a brave fight and managed to salvage a half on the 18th and Imogen Leeder won a close battle to win on the 18th. Performance of the day must go to Tiffany Mills who put the first point on the board with a 7&6 victory.

Overall a wonderful result, Norfolk winning 7.5 to 1.5.  I was so proud of the girls fighting to the end to bring the points home for us.

It was also great to see some friendly Norfolk faces on the fairways and it would be great as the week progresses to see Norfolk supporters in their coral.

Tomorrow we face Bedfordshire who lost to Hertfordshire today 6.5 to 2.5.  In the other match Essex beat Suffolk 6-3
