No stranger to Royal Cromer, Williamson turned in a round of 75 to win the championship by three shots, The 14-year-old said: “I am delighted to have won today on this absolutely lovely course after being away for four years.”
Williamson started playing golf at Royal Cromer and now completes at the highest level of Senior Women’s golf. Last week she was at the R&A Senior Women’s Amateur championship at Walton Heath in an international field.
The talented player is also part of the county team who are once again bound for the English Women’s County Finals after a successful defence of their East region title at John O’ Gaunt Golf Club.
Susan Henderson, President of the Norfolk Ladies’ County Golf Association, brought the Championship to a close by thanking Royal Cromer for their truly spectacular course and excellent hospitality. She also thanked Tee Up Golf for their support of this event.
