We, the Norfolk Ladies County Golf Association, are greatly saddened by the of the passing of our Queen and join many other associations, clubs and unions around the world in offering our heartfelt condolences to King Charles III and his family in this time of great loss; the loss of a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother.

On her succession Queen Elizabeth took over the mantle of Patron of English Golf, created in 1934 for the then Prince of Wales and though she did not play the game, she, by her very nature, inspired many of the standards we adopt today.

Our Monarch of 70 years has ridden changing times, losses and happy occasions and she has always remained steadfast in her service to her subjects both here in the UK and all over the world. Her loss will be felt by many for years to come, her sense of fair-play, her kindness as well as her untiring dedication to duty will always be honoured and remembered throughout the world.

Norfolk Ladies County Golf Association will be making a formal entry in the online Royal Book of Condolences, which is also available for those wishing to make their own personal message.
