It is with great sadness that we share the new that Lyndsey Hewison, passed away on 7th February 2024.

Lyndsey competed two terms of Ladies’ Captaincy at Eaton Golf. She was the youngest Lady Captain in 1990 and she completed her second captaincy just last month on 20th January 2024.

She was three times Eaton Ladies’ Champions and played for club and county, winning many key prestigious events.

A woman of words, Lyndsey was a reporter at the EDP on all things golf for many years, the press officer for English Women’s Golf Association and then England Golf. From this she brought a huge amount of knowledge and experience to the ladies section and to the club, she was instrumental in establishing the England Golf Women in Golf charter at Eaton.

Passionate about all things Eaton, her vision for the club and it’s future was always at the forefront of all that she did, ‘great golf, fun & friendship. She will be sadly missed by us all,
