Hope Neild is one of the 16 Young Ambassadors supported by England Golf and the Golf Foundation who is appealing for help from the golfing public to nominate future winners of their ‘Hero’s Handshake’ award.

She has been an England Golf Young Ambassador since 2017. Their overall aim is clear: to encourage more and more youngsters to get into golf, feel welcome at clubs and develop a lifelong love of the game.

Over the past three years Hope has been involved in many projects to discuss how young people may get involved in the game, undertook training as a ‘Mental Health First Aider’ and has delivered sessions to the other Young Ambassadors to help raise awareness of mental health.

Hope has also represented Norfolk at Junior and Women's level, played for Team Norfolk at the England Golf National Women’s Final at Delamere Forest Golf Club in 2019.

That same year, she was the Junior captain and won the Norfolk Junior Girls Championship

The Hero’s Handshake project has been key in recognising young people in golf who are doing amazing things to help grow the game and highlight the positive impact it can have on people’s lives!

Nominations for awards can be made via the Young Ambassadors social media channels on Twitter @GolfAmbassadors and Instagram ‘getgolfing’.
