Another exciting day!

A fantastic result in the morning winning all our foursomes to go in with a 3-0 lead at lunch.  Wins for Amy Taylor & Amelia Williamson (7&5), Karen Young & Chloe Rowswell (1 up) and Imogen Leeder & Abigail O’Riordan (6&5).

The afternoon singles were very close and the lead changed hand several times before the matches were closed out.  At one point it was looking as though we would struggle to get the 2 points we needed but gradually things started to look a bit brighter.  Again Amelia Williamson put the first point on the board with a convincing 6&4 win. The 2nd point was a fantastic result for Tiffany Mills who had been down in her match but pulled it back to win on the 18th. Thereafter Jo Herd halved her match to produce a 1/2 point as did Amy Taylor giving an overall result of 6-3.

Earlier Hertfordshire beat Suffolk 6-3 meaning Fridays match between Norfolk and Herts will be the decider.  Norfolk are unbeaten and currently lead Herts by 3 games.  Herts have lost one match.  If Herts were to beat Norfolk by a bigger margin than 5-4 then they will go through to the National Finals so we must be at our best in the morning.
