We played Bedfordshire in thier home turf...

In the morning foursomes the partnerships of Tiffany Mills & Imogen Leeder, Amelia Williamson & Abi O’Riordan and Karen Young & Amy Taylor brought in 2 points to give Norfolk a 2-1 lead at lunch.

The afternoon singles were always going to be difficult against a strong home county.  As the matches got underway Amelia Williamson in the first match proved to be just the boost Norfolk needed with a convincing 7&6 win over Annabell Pitts.  As this result filtered down the field victories from Imogen Leeder and Tiffany Mills (1 up & 4&2 respectively) followed to give Norfolk the 5 points they need for the win.  A halved match for Karen Young made it slightly more convincing with the final result of 5.5 - 3.5.

Tomorrow Norfolk take on Essex in the last match of the day.  Essex have now lost two of their matches having lost to Hertfordshire today.

It is looking very likely that the decider will again be on the last day when Norfolk play Hertfordshire who have lost just the one match and who play Suffolk tomorrow.
