Amelia selected for England

Amelia Williamson is one of five players who have been selected to represent England in the Chiberta Grand Prix in France, from 4-7 July. 

They are Georgina Blackman of Essex (pictured), Callum Farr of Northamptonshire, Bailey Gill of Yorkshire,  David Langley of BB&O, and Amelia Williamson of Norfolk.

The international championship is played over 72 holes at Chiberta Golf Club, Anglet. 

The players: 

Amelia Williamson, 19, (Royal Cromer) has just completed her first year at college in the USA. She reached the last 32 in the Women’s Amateur.

Georgina Blackman, 23, (Chelmsford) was the 2018 English Women’s Amateur Champion and has followed up with a series of strong finishes this season. 

Callum Farr, 20, (Northamptonshire County) was runner-up in the Spanish Amateur and finished seventh in the Brabazon Trophy.

Bailey Gill, 22, (Lindrick) reached the last 16 in the Amateur Championship, alongside a number of high finishes in major events this season.

David Langley, 25, (Castle Royle) reached the match play stages of the Amateur Championship and was fifth in the Brabazon Trophy.
