Jo & Lilia from Bawburgh win the 2019 Young Cup

Twenty-four pairs of a junior girl and a lady golfer from the same club have taken part in this year’s Young Cup foursomes’ knockout trophy.

Last Saturday the final came down to Lilia Copeman and Jo Barnard from Bawburgh and Lucy Partridge and Kate Duncan from Middleton Hall, played in good conditions at Dereham Golf Club.

With Bawburgh giving eight shots Jo and Lilia clawed it back after going 2 down after 2 and not going up until about the 14th.  They then won 16 and 17 with Lilia putting her tee shot a couple of feet from the pin on the short 17th. The final score was 3 and 1 to Bawburgh.
