From your County Junior Organiser

School exams are over and the summer holidays are nearly upon us.  No doubt you are getting yourselves ready to play lots of golf and get those handicaps tumbling down.

Don’t forget to let Margaret Watson know if you reduce your handicap so she can keep the Handicap Challenge up-to-date.  Her contact details are in the Junior Handbook or on this website.

 For those of you who are new to competitive golf have a look at the Junior noticeboard at your golf club or speak to your Junior Organiser about Junior Opens.  These are for boys and girls and take place all around the county during the summer.  They are great fun and an excellent opportunity to play golf on different courses and meet other juniors.  If you want to know more about these please give me a call or send me an email.

For the younger girls without handicaps there are still 2 Short Course Events you can enter.  These are on Friday 30^th July and Wednesday 25^th August at The Norfolk Golf and Country Club (contact Pat Simpson or myself for further details).

A reminder to the more established juniors - don’t forget to check in your handbook for up and coming events and send off your entry forms in good time. These include the Fowler Trophy (Lady and Junior) at Costessey Park on 12^th August and the East Region Girls Championship at Braintree, Essex on 18 August (handicap limit 20).
